Project

You will work on a financial project focused on building and enhancing a modern data platform that supports risk management, reporting, and business decision-making processes. The project delivers scalable, reliable, and automated data solutions using Snowflake technologies and modern data-engineering practices.

As a Database Engineer, you will design and optimize data workflows, implement CI/CD and test-automation frameworks, and ensure the smooth operation of business-critical data processes. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technology teams to translate business requirements into efficient data solutions and contribute to a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize data workflows using Snowpark and dbt
  • Build and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data-engineering solutions
  • Develop and improve automated testing frameworks and deployment processes
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support monthly production jobs
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and quality of data pipelines
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Work with engineering, architecture, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data products
  • Contribute to best practices in data engineering, automation, and software development
  • Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives across the data platform

Expected competences and knowledge

  • Proven experience with SQL
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and architecture
  • Experience designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines
  • Experience building or working with AI Agents / Agentic AI solutions
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles and software-development best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
