Consult/Liaison Inpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity Between Tampa and Orlando Florida

The Consult/Liaison Inpatient Psychiatrist provides inpatient psychiatric services to individuals experiencing mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders in assigned areas. The role is based at a comprehensive 468-bed hospital, including a dedicated women's hospital.

Position Overview

The Psychiatrist will manage approximately 15 consults per day, contributing to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatry evaluations and medication management for targeted populations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with FSS Baker Act statutes and other applicable regulatory bodies.
• Participate in Baker Act proceedings as necessary.
• Provide clinical consultation to medical services and other treatment-team members.
• Perform on-call duties for the assigned site, including admission orders and emergency issues.
• One week of call coverage is required; additional call may be available for additional pay.

Position Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry; experience preferred.
