Neurologist (100% Outpatient) – Las Cruces, NM

Job Description

A full-time BC/BE neurologist is sought to launch and lead a brand-new, 100% outpatient neurology clinic. This is an opportunity to build a practice with a built-in referral base and high demand for neurological care, with autonomy to shape a new service line. Dedicated clinic space, established medical assistant and nursing staff, and a Primary Stroke Center are available.

Position Highlights

Practice Setting

• 100% outpatient neurology clinic.

Schedule

• Traditional Monday through Friday schedule.
• Potential flexibility for a four-day workweek.

Volume

• Anticipated average of 18 patients per day.

No Call

• Strictly outpatient hours with no call responsibilities.

Clinical Scope

• EEG interpretation is required; an onsite EEG lab is available.
• Lumbar punctures are at the provider's preference.
• Opportunity to develop a subspecialty niche.

Technology

• Athena EMR.

Academics

• Teaching opportunities with Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residents, as well as medical students through the local Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Qualifications

• Experienced neurologists and new graduates are welcome.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
• Fellowship training is preferred but not required.
• Interest in clinical leadership and shaping a new community service line.
• J-1 waivers are available.
• H-1B transfers are accepted for candidates currently awaiting their green card.
