Description

Seeking a full-time BC/BE neurohospitalist to establish a dedicated 100% inpatient neurology service. This role offers a manageable daily consult volume and the opportunity to make an immediate impact. The JCAHO-certified Primary Stroke Center includes a 23-bed ICU, an 18-bed stepdown unit, community neurosurgery support, and dedicated interventional radiology.

Position Highlights

Practice Setting

• 100% inpatient neurohospitalist role.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Volume

• Average of 5 hospital consults per day.

Call Responsibilities

• On-call coverage required outside standard hospital hours.
• Tele-neurology support assists with coverage.

Clinical Scope

• EEG interpretation is required.
• Lumbar punctures are at the provider's preference.
• Leadership and subspecialty development are encouraged.

Technology

• Medhost EMR, transitioning to Cerner in February 2027.

Academics

• Opportunities to teach Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residents and medical students from the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Qualifications

• Enjoys the acuity of the hospital setting and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
• Experienced physicians and new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Fellowship training is preferred.
• J-1 waivers are available.
• H-1B transfers are accepted for candidates currently awaiting their green card.
