The team operates a real-time service using web sockets to deliver real-time editing; it is a complex product area focused on one of the most vital products. Development is primarily front-end with React.js, while backend work primarily uses Node.js. What you’ll do - Develop high-quality, scalable, responsive software using modern technologies. - Write clean, efficient, maintainable code using industry best practices. - Partner with cross-functional teams to onboard colleagues, share knowledge, and align on responsibilities and priorities. - Participate in regular team meetings and manager 1:1s to support alignment, growth, and continuous improvement. - Create clear technical documentation, reusable patterns, and examples to scale knowledge across engineering teams. - Leverage AI tools, including Claude and Cursor, for development, research, documentation, and bug triage while maintaining quality and security standards. - Represent and advocate for engineering excellence internally and externally. - Maintain and support one or more legacy codebases. - Contribute to defining and implementing engineering standards across product teams. - Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to and triage issues while on call. - Apply an AI-first, growth-oriented mindset to make faster, smarter decisions and increase impact.
