Data Center Server Operations Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management, and service delivery.
• 8 years of experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure; network and compute architecture and life-cycle; and Linux/Unix system administration.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift-based schedules as required.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience initiating and executing strategic initiatives in a global environment.
• Experience leading and improving Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives.
• Exceptional data gathering and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage round-the-clock operations across all shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, within the metro area.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, talent development, and vendor management for technical teams.
• Lead the deployment, maintenance, and support of systems and network architectures.
• Use Linux/Unix, network protocol, and hardware life-cycle expertise to resolve complex strategic challenges.
• Execute global strategic projects aligned with company goals while driving strict Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.
