Position Overview
The Product Manager provides leadership in strategic product marketing including market views, segmentation, and multi-generational product planning. This individual is expected to work independently and effectively influence stakeholders across organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers and commercial leaders to drive volume growth, pipeline performance, and material margin targets
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while advocating for business interests
- Align supplier strategies with organizational strategies across commercial, marketing, and supply chain functions
- Track distribution contracts and develop renewal and extension strategies
- Negotiate key contract terms including margin expansion, payment terms, and product access
- Develop proposals to shift supplier business opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiations related to costs and logistics
- Provide regular sales volume and pipeline updates
- Implement action plans to address sales performance gaps
- Communicate product, policy, and pricing updates
- Lead supplier business reviews
- Respond to quote requests from the commercial team

Qualifications

- Knowledge of financial concepts including sales revenue, margins, and working capital
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Negotiation and contracting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort presenting to large audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel 1-3 times per month
