Senior Account Executive - Comtronic
Senior • Hybrid
Cle Elum, WA
About Comtronic Systems
Comtronic Systems is a leading provider of collections software for debt collection agencies and first-party creditors across North America. Our flagship product, Debtmaster EVO, powers the full collections lifecycle — from accounting, compliance, and workflow management to consumer communication and reporting. We serve a range of customers, from independent collection agencies to hospitals, credit unions, and banks that manage collections in-house.
We recently launched two new products — a Consumer Portal and a Client Portal — that represent a meaningful expansion of what Comtronic delivers to its customers. The person who joins us now will help take these products to market and shape how Comtronic grows over the next several years.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Director of Sales to own Comtronic's full commercial motion. This is a senior individual contributor position for someone who is energized by building pipeline, running their own deals, and operating with direct access to the CEO. As Comtronic grows, this role carries a clear path toward building and leading a sales team.
You will be the primary driver of new software bookings across Debtmaster EVO, our Consumer Portal, and our Client Portal. You will work directly alongside the CEO and stay close to our existing customer base to surface expansion opportunities, gather market intelligence, and help shape our go-to-market approach as our product suite evolves.
What You Will Own
Sales — New Business and Existing Customer Growth (70%)
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close — both new logo and existing customer expansion.
- Develop new business by prospecting to collection agencies and related organizations not yet using Comtronic products, leveraging AI tools and modern outreach techniques.
- Conduct proactive outbound outreach to existing customers to identify expansion opportunities and drive adoption of new products.
- Qualify prospects through structured discovery calls before scheduling product demonstrations.
- Deliver structured product demonstrations, with support available during ramp for complex Debtmaster EVO engagements.
- Sell the Consumer Portal and Client Portal as add-on solutions to the existing customer base.
- Manage a disciplined CRM pipeline with accurate, timely forecasting to the CEO.
- Execute smooth handoffs from closed sale to the support team.
- Meet or exceed annual ARR quota targets as defined in the compensation plan.
Sales Strategy and Operations (20%)
- Contribute to the development and refinement of sales processes, demo frameworks, and outreach playbooks.
- Identify and implement AI tools and sales technologies that improve prospecting effectiveness and deal velocity.
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to inform product and go-to-market decisions.
- Represent Comtronic at relevant industry events and conferences as appropriate.
Customer Insight and Feedback (10%)
- Stay close to existing customers through regular engagement to surface expansion and upsell opportunities.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to product and support teams to help inform product direction.
What We Are Looking For
Must-Haves
- 7+ years of B2B software sales experience with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Full-cycle sales ownership — has independently managed deals from cold prospecting through close.
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting and cold outreach as a regular, daily part of the role.
- Strong consultative selling skills.
- CRM discipline — Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent; rigorous pipeline management and forecasting habits.
- Proficiency with modern sales tools: AI-assisted prospecting, email automation, LinkedIn outreach, and video conferencing.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with existing customers and identify expansion opportunities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
Strong Differentiators
- Experience in the debt collection, financial services, or a related regulated industry.
- Familiarity with SaaS or recurring revenue software business models.
- Experience at a small or growth-stage software company where personal initiative drives results.
- Track record of identifying and adopting AI tools to improve sales productivity.
This Role Is Not For You If…
- You prefer inbound or reactive sales.
- You are skeptical of or resistant to AI tools.
- You need a large sales support team or marketing infrastructure to be effective.
- You are not able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week in-office in Cle Elum, WA.
Benefits and Compensation
- Base salary: $75,000
- OTE: Uncapped
- Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and more.
- Hybrid work arrangement with minimum 3 days/week in office.
- Occasional travel to industry tradeshows and conferences.
