Senior Paralegal, Corporate and Compliance

This Paralegal will provide a broad range of legal support focusing on corporate governance and global subsidiary management, as well as assist in establishing, maintaining, and updating legal and regulatory compliance programs. This role will work with cross-functional business units to assess their needs in alignment with compliance requirements, in some cases owning the programs, drafting policies, educational training, and enforcement protocols to support a culture of compliance. The role will also support the legal operations of the department.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the preparation and filing of annual reports and foreign qualifications for subsidiaries in multiple US states
- Managing or assisting with domestic subsidiary matters, including formation, dissolution, conversion, drafting of governance documents, and maintenance of minute books
- Working with cross-functional business leaders to assess their needs in alignment with compliance requirements
- Drafting policies for legal and regulatory compliance topics and maintaining policies to remain compliant in jurisdictions where business is conducted
- Monitoring and auditing compliance-related activities to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, and supporting compliance-related investigations
- Supporting Privacy, Export / Import, AI and other compliance teams and functions
- Performing legal research
- Electronically maintaining and organizing corporate files and documents
- Performing administrative duties in support of the legal team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- At least 5-7+ years of paralegal or compliance experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate environment
- At least 2-4+ years experience in corporate compliance (privacy, export controls, risk, audit, etc)
- Experience leveraging AI-driven tools to streamline legal operations, automate routine tasks, and enhance the efficiency of compliance workflows
- Excellent research, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Experience with Know Your Customer-type documentation
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Dependable and reliable work ethic
- In-house, public company experience preferred
- Comfortable using online search tools, databases and portals
- Ability to work with employees at all levels including executives and board members
- Strong experience redlining changes to documents using Word and Adobe

Code Review: You will do code review and mentor others within the organization regarding best practices in ML Engineering.
