About the Role
We are seeking a skilled AI Legal and Compliance Data Specialist to enhance AI models by providing high-quality data annotations and inputs tailored to legal and compliance contexts. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in regulatory compliance, contract analysis, legal research, and dispute resolution to support the training of AI systems. You will collaborate with technical teams to refine annotation tools and curate impactful data, ensuring models effectively capture real-world legal and compliance dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Utilize proprietary software to provide accurate input and labels for legal and compliance projects.
- Deliver curated, high-quality data for regulatory compliance, contract analysis, legal research, and dispute resolution scenarios.
- Collaborate with technical staff to support training of new AI tasks and development of innovative technologies.
- Assist in designing and improving annotation tools for legal and compliance data.
- Select and analyze complex legal and compliance problems to enhance AI model performance.
- Interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on evolving instructions.
Basic Qualifications
- J.D. (Juris Doctor) or foreign equivalent.
- At least 2 years of practicing law in one or more relevant legal practice areas.
- Strong legal analysis and writing skills.
- Proficiency in reading and writing informal and professional English.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent reading comprehension and ability to exercise autonomous judgment.
- Passion for technological advancements and innovation in legal processes.
- Relevant certification, license, or advanced legal training.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience mentoring or training others in legal practices.
- Comfort with recording audio or video sessions for data collection.
- Familiarity with AI or data annotation workflows.
Location and Other Expectations
- Roles may be full-time, part-time, or contractor positions.
- Contractor hours vary based on project scope and availability.
- Remote work available worldwide subject to eligibility and role requirements.

- Personal devices must use Chromebook, macOS 11.0+, or Windows 10+.
Compensation and Benefits
- US compensation ranges from $45/hour to $100/hour based on qualifications and experience.
