Job Description

In this position as a Senior Associate, Federal Financial Systems Accountant, you will support federal financial systems operations by leading data validation, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of accounting data. You will play a key role in monthly close activities, financial reporting, system modernization initiatives, and continuous process improvements while collaborating with government stakeholders and project leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system data pulls, reconciliations, and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Support GSM and APLUS monthly close activities, including cash activity validation, accounting exception report validation, trial balance downloads, and report distribution.
  • Prepare and maintain reconciliation schedules between feeder systems and accounting systems.
  • Support FSDW template updates, statement downloads, footnote validation, and trial balance checks.
  • Research discrepancies between system reports, general ledger balances, and financial reporting outputs.
  • Support report migration and dashboard validation activities.
  • Assist the Senior Systems Accountant with modernization, data conversion, and system enhancement analysis.

Required Skills
