Clear Creek Federal is seeking a Cloud Services Engineer in Washington, D.C. or Denver, CO. The role focuses on leading cloud transformation projects and designing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for critical government missions, leveraging Azure and CI/CD principles.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure cloud infrastructures leveraging Azure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud architecture, establish migration strategies, and optimize cloud environments.
  • Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using DevSecOps methodologies, focusing on automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Architect Kubernetes environments using self-hosted clusters and managed services (AKS, EKS, GKE).
  • Provide technical guidance on cloud security, compliance (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST), and best practices for microservices, containers, and infrastructure as code.
  • Support cloud migration initiatives across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Develop and document cloud architecture, technical roadmaps, and security protocols.
  • Lead infrastructure automation using Terraform, ARM/Bicep templates, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Design for high availability, disaster recovery, and incident response.
  • Mentor engineering teams and integrate cloud services into the application lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance (interim Top Secret or Secret acceptable).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5+ years of cloud architecture experience with Azure.
  • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS implementations.
  • Strong DevOps experience including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, ARM, Bicep, JSON, YAML).
  • Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKE).
  • Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and network architecture (firewalls, VPNs, load balancers) and identity management (Azure AD, OAuth).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Ability to report onsite daily.

Desired Skills

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, microservices, and cloud-native development.
  • Expertise in cost optimization and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Google Stackdriver).
  • Experience working in government or federal environments.
