The Role
At Soho House a Purchasing Manager is responsible for setting and following established procedures in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing and payment of items. A successful Purchasing Manager compares prices to maximize ROI and negotiates agreements to mitigate risk in price variances and ensure quality control in supplier products and distribution.
Main Duties
- Lead purchasing and vendor management activities for perishable and non-perishable products
- Partner with kitchen teams and Head Chefs to control food and beverage costs and ensure profitability
- Ensure compliance with local and regional health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Oversee invoices and shipments to verify quantity, quality, weights, and specifications
- Maintain safeguards for perishable and nonperishable inventory
- Develop and track KPI metrics to lower margins and maximize profit
- Conduct property walk-throughs to ensure maintenance and preventative processes
- Calculate projected food and beverage inventory costs for existing and proposed properties
- Generate accurate and timely reports and presentations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
