The Role
At Soho House a Runner is responsible for preparing tables, serving orders, explaining meals, and facilitating collaboration between kitchen and servers. A Runner assists in providing quality hand plated service and delivering an outstanding dining experience to members and guests.
Main Duties
- Follow established Steps of Service including refilling beverages, clearing dishes, crumbing tables, replenishing supplies, and expediting food orders
- Accommodate special guest requests or escalate to management when necessary
- Ensure seamless service in a high-volume environment by anticipating guest needs and supporting kitchen and management teams
- Verify food is plated and coursed correctly before serving
- Adhere to health and safety policies, including allergy procedures, and all company standards and laws
- Support team service by running food and beverages from expo and service bar
- Clean and stock server alley and expo area
- Maintain menu knowledge and provide suggestions to guests
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in similar capacity
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
