ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers building internal tooling and APIs within the payments domain. You’ll be responsible for ensuring system reliability, delivering new features, and driving business-critical initiatives. This area manages web applications and APIs, where you oversee daily operations, drive technical execution, and support team growth across the whole employee lifecycle - hiring & developing talent.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Team Management & Support:
Run daily standups
Hold regular one-on-ones
Drive goal setting and career development
Lead hiring and onboarding
Provide technical guidance and mentorship
Track and act on engineering KPIs
Technical & Project Oversight:
Participate in code reviews and pull request approvals
Lead technical discussions and discovery sessions
Monitor system health and manage incidents
Process & Execution:
Plan and execute sprints and roadmap deliverables, ensuring clear timelines and resource alignment
Optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Work closely with engineering, product, and QA teams
Champion Quality in all releases by ensuring proper regression testing and automation coverage in collaboration with QA engineers
Enforce incident management processes
Report on progress, risks, and changes to stakeholders related to development and operations
Strategy & Leadership:
Contribute to the engineering, SDLC and QA strategy.
Conduct performance reviews and support career growth
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders

Essential Skills:
Solid engineering background, spending at least 5+ years working as an engineer developing web applications and APIs
