Description

GI Hospitalist position providing inpatient rounding and GI consult coverage on-site, with NP support and scheduled procedures. Required procedures include colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (UGE), EUS, and ERCP; anesthesia is available. Call volume during weeknights and weekends is described as not very busy.

Responsibilities

• Round on admitted and inpatient patients and provide GI consults as needed

• Provide on-premises GI consultant coverage during the 7-on week (24-hour call during coverage period)

• Perform required GI procedures (colonoscopy, UGE, EUS, ERCP) and coordinate with the scheduled procedure workflow

Requirements

• Must be a gastroenterologist able to perform required procedures: colonoscopy, UGE, EUS, ERCP

• Must be available for 7-on/7-off coverage with inpatient rounding and consult responsibilities during the on week

• Must be able to document and work in Cerner EMR

Benefits

• Estimated base pay: $375K–$425K based on experience

• Additional compensation: 20% collections
