Description

Independent Contractor General Surgeon role providing compassionate, high-quality care for general surgery patients. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating general surgery conditions, performing procedures or consultations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining EMR documentation and treatment plans. On-call coverage is required as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for general surgery patients

• Conduct consultations, exams, and evaluations

• Perform procedures in office and hospital settings

• Develop and communicate treatment plans

• Collaborate on inpatient consults

• Maintain EMR records

• Order and interpret diagnostics

• Maintain a reasonable patient load

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and work in a collaborative environment

Requirements

• MD/DO from an accredited institution

• Active California medical license or ability to obtain

• Board certification or eligibility

• Excellent bedside manner
