Description

Build, maintain, and enhance an enterprise Semantic Layer that provides governed access to enterprise information. This role emphasizes secure, scalable API development in Python, integration of enterprise data sources, and support for AI integration patterns including LLMs, RAG, and Model Context Protocol (MCP). You will collaborate with data architects, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure reliability and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance an enterprise Semantic Layer
• Design and implement secure, scalable APIs that support data access, analytics, and AI-enabled applications
• Integrate enterprise data sources and support metadata, data modeling, and semantic data integration
• Support emerging AI integration patterns (LLMs, RAG, MCP) and related evaluation
• Collaborate with data architects, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver governed information access

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management
• Experience developing and maintaining secure APIs within AWS API Gateway
• Expertise in data modeling, data integration, metadata management, governance, and AWS-based data platforms
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, APIs, and serverless architectures
• Experience implementing LLMs, RAG solutions, AI agents, MCP integrations, and AI evaluation methodologies
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and enterprise knowledge retrieval
