Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to develop and scale an enterprise-grade AI platform for regulated and mission-critical environments. The platform supports SaaS and on-premises deployments, including environments without internet access. You will take end-to-end ownership of backend services, covering API and data-model design through production deployment, reliability, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
• Take ownership of services from design through production readiness
• Develop data models and scalable backend architectures
• Ensure service reliability, performance, and observability
• Lead technical reviews for new services and major changes
• Support solutions deployed in SaaS, on-premises, and air-gapped environments
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience
• Strong, hands-on expertise in Python, including asynchronous programming
• Experience designing and operating production-grade backend services
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, caching, queues, retries, and idempotency
• Experience with API design, data modelling, and observability
• Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of backend services
• Practical experience with LLMs and modern AI tooling in software product development
• Good understanding of scalable system design and production reliability
• Good command of English
