Description

You will join a team co-developing a unified network security management platform and build backend functionality that automates the conversion and onboarding of existing network security configurations. The role emphasizes product engineering: designing self-service capabilities with predictable behavior and actionable errors. AI-assisted engineering tools are part of the daily workflow, and you will lead technical initiatives from design through release.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the software product and underlying libraries

• Build a self-service product with actionable errors, predictable behavior, and a clear customer path without specialized assistance

• Decide what gets generalized vs. built once, maintaining a falling cost curve through key architectural judgments

• Own and lead technical initiatives end to end, from the design document through to release

• Act as the technical counterpart to adjacent teams by raising dependencies early and in writing

• Maintain appropriate test coverage and help shape the overall testing strategy

• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices across the entire SDLC (not only code generation)

• Contribute to architecture and design decisions as the solution scales

• Propose and help ship your own ideas to improve the product beyond core delivery

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience with modern Python (tracking the latest release line)

• Experience building and maintaining software products for external customers

• End-to-end architecture ownership, including aligning teams you do not directly manage

• Hands-on, everyday use of AI coding tools in your engineering workflow, with a considered view of where they help

• Solid testing experience and ability to select an appropriate testing strategy

• Experience building and maintaining integrations and/or API clients

• Experience with data modeling and transformation (parsers, intermediate representations, schema-driven conversion, etc.)

• Fluency with Pydantic and strict static typing using mypy (or equivalent)

• CI/CD experience

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven prioritization environment

• Open to technical challenges and open-minded about technical solutions to business problems

• Very good command of English (ideally C1 level), spoken and written
