Description

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will be a core technical contributor on an agile team, designing, developing, and troubleshooting trusted technology products that support business objectives. You will drive production-ready delivery with automated testing, performance/resiliency analysis, and robust unit/integration/UAT planning. You will also help adopt AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable validation for secure, correct outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot while considering upstream and downstream system impacts
• Drive delivery of business value for projects and change programs
• Create automated unit tests using Test Driven Development
• Develop understanding of clearing and settlement functions in the Cash Prime business
• Partner with tech leads to create realistic project estimates
• Analyze and build across Control, Stability, Resiliency, Capacity, and Performance
• Plan and manage Unit, SIT, and UAT testing
• Deliver robust code into production with zero tolerance for post-implementation issues
• Contribute to long-range goals, strategic planning, best practices, code reviews, standards, and code reuse
• Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices (e.g., code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis)
• Apply Software Development Life Cycle toolchain capabilities for automation at scale

Requirements

• Formal degree or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Strong core Java experience, including advanced concepts (collections, garbage collection, multi-threading)
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, database concepts, Kafka, React JS, CI/CD, and feature design; AWS cloud experience
• Experience in system development, debugging, and maintenance in a large corporate environment
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, resiliency, and security
• Ability to solve complex large-scale problems with end-to-end solutions
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools; ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs (correctness, performance, security)
• Responsible AI knowledge in engineering workflows (data sensitivity, secure handling) and ability to coach senior engineers/leads on compliant usage
• Designing and developing micro-frontends based micro-services
• Exposure to Kubernetes platform
• Exposure to DevOps methodology
