Description

Lead and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products as a core technical contributor on an agile team. Own design, development, testing, and production troubleshooting, while improving operational stability and driving reusable patterns across the team. Lead evaluation of external and internal architectural solutions and promote responsible, validated AI-assisted engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Create software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug others’ code

• Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices (code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support)

• Establish consistent validation standards: secure coding, peer review, automated testing

• Use SDLC toolchain capabilities (including AI-assisted development/automation) to increase value from automation

• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring remediation to improve operational stability

• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors/startups/internal teams to assess architectural fit and credentials for use in existing systems

Requirements

• 8+ years of applied experience with software engineering concepts and practices

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts

• Expert knowledge of Core Java, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and infrastructure architecture

• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

• Experience with messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka (or equivalent)

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis

• Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools with validated correctness, performance, and security

• Knowledge of responsible AI use (data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency and security)

• Proficient across the Software Development Life Cycle

• Advanced agile practices including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security

• In-depth understanding of financial services industry IT systems

• Practical cloud-native experience
