Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior Software Engineer (Developer Platform)

Description

Build and own the developer-facing layer of a payments and crypto developer platform. Convert existing authentication, identity, KYC, quotes, payment methods, and purchasing capabilities into reusable platform modules exposed via APIs and SDKs, embedded components, iframes, and web views. Ensure secure, native-feeling integrations across browsers, mobile apps, and backend APIs—while making complex financial workflows predictable and easy to use.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build APIs, SDKs, and embedded components for external developers
  • Create secure browser and mobile integration patterns across iframes, web views, and native applications
  • Develop stable abstractions over payments, compliance, and crypto infrastructure
  • Build reference applications, sandboxes, and tooling to speed up the path from exploration to production
  • Own the complete developer journey from credential acquisition through completing live transactions
  • Design interfaces for sessions, authentication, quotes, payment methods, transaction state, and errors
  • Handle browser/mobile realities: cross-origin communication, redirects, storage restrictions, and lifecycle events
  • Ensure integrations remain secure inside partner products you don’t control
  • Implement payment-critical reliability features: retries, duplicate events, delayed responses, idempotency, state recovery, and graceful degradation
  • Measure adoption, integration success, reliability, and developer experience; evolve the platform safely over time

Requirements

  • Experience building external developer products (APIs, SDKs, embedded components, or integration tooling) used by third parties
  • Strong browser or mobile fundamentals including sessions, storage, cross-origin communication, and embedded experiences
  • Hands-on JavaScript and TypeScript experience
  • Experience designing versioned APIs/SDKs with backwards compatibility, safe migrations, and clear documentation/error design
  • Proven distributed systems experience handling duplicate/late/out-of-order events and dependency failures
  • Ability to take developer-facing software from design through launch and ongoing production support
  • Deep understanding of secure embedded integration patterns (e.g., iframes/web views, cross-origin communication) and security constraints inside products you don’t control

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package and equity ownership
  • Pay-for-performance equity bonus
  • Moonshot award with large equity grants
  • Pension contributions from day one
  • Flexible time off, recharge period, birthday leave, enhanced parental leave
  • Hybrid working: fully remote or from a nearby office
  • Private healthcare and wellness membership
  • Enterprise access to the latest AI tools
  • Training budget and High Potential Program (mentorship and stretch opportunities)
  • Remote company offsites and hackathons
  • Commuter benefits, home office and remote working allowances; lunch credit and additional perks including training and product budget
