Description

Build event-driven, horizontally scalable backend services and real-time integrations/APIs that let AI agents reliably do work in production. You’ll ensure correctness and availability under partial failure, integrate LLMs into production systems, and deliver features end-to-end from architecture through deployment and observability.

Responsibilities

• Build event-driven backend services that process work reliably even when parts of the system fail
• Develop real-time streaming integrations (connections, gateways, and CLIs) that hold up under load
• Integrate LLMs and agentic harnesses into production systems
• Lead end-to-end delivery: ideation, architecture, deployment, observability, and iteration
• Improve engineering quality through clean, well-tested code, thoughtful reviews, and mentorship

Requirements

• 5+ years shipping and operating production backend systems at scale
• Strong proficiency in Python and ability to write clean, well-tested, maintainable code
• Distributed-systems fundamentals for correctness/availability under partial failure, backpressure, and load
• Hands-on experience with event-driven, streaming, or real-time systems (queues, pub/sub, long-lived connections)
• Experience operating Kubernetes-based services in the cloud with observability (metrics, tracing, dashboards)
• Solid API and software-architecture instincts and trade-off judgment
• High ownership and ability to drive work end-to-end from ambiguity to shipped iteration
• Reliability mindset and strong written communication in an async environment
