Description

Oversee, organize, and coordinate preparation of the sterile field for surgical operations, including staffing and work assignments. Direct and update policies, procedures, and protocols to streamline workflow, improve efficiency, and strengthen quality assurance, while supporting the department through supplies distribution, equipment maintenance, testing, and setup. During procedures, directly support the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, and anticipating surgeons’ needs, ensuring care aligns with best practices, accreditation standards, and state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or certification showing completion of surgical technology education (military Surgical Scrub Technician training may be accepted in lieu)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
• 4+ years of recent, relevant Surgical Technologist experience
• Surgical Technician Certification (TS-C, CST, or NRST) required for eligibility for certification incentive pay where applicable under the collective bargaining agreement
