• Orientation: Onsite orientation required on Nov 12, 2026

• Patient volume: Typically 1–2 patients/day; 0–5 phone consults

Description

Provide emergency department call-only orthopedic coverage in Michigan with no clinic responsibilities. Focus on general orthopedic and total joint cases; complex cases are typically transferred. Orthopedic PA support, dedicated surgical staff, and digital imaging resources are available.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency orthopedic consults

• Manage general orthopedics and total joint cases (including revisions and fracture care)

• Provide emergency orthopedic coverage by phone/onsite as required

Requirements

• Active ABOS board certification

• Active Michigan medical license

• Michigan DEA and Michigan controlled substance license (IMLC accepted)

• Ability to respond within 20 minutes when called in for consults

• Onsite orientation on Nov 12, 2026

• Credentialing completed (approximately 30 days)
