• Call rotation: 1:8 beeper weeknight; 1:8 weekend (in-house daytime and beeper)

Description

Provide weekday daytime anesthesia services in a high-volume OR and OB environment with supervision of residents and APPs plus hands-on cases. Approximately 60% of the time is supervision in the OR and OB, and 40% is physician-managed cases across GI, EP, IR, and TEE settings. Case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, neuro, spine, and thoracic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care during scheduled weekday daytime shifts
• Provide weekday and weekend call coverage (including beeper and in-house daytime)
• Supervise residents and APPs in OR and OB settings
• Manage own cases in GI, EP, IR, and TEE
• Perform OB anesthesia and basic regional blocks (TAP, supraclavicular, adductor canal, popliteal)

Requirements

• MD specializing in Anesthesiology
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Florida medical license and active Florida DEA at submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 24 months of case logs within 5 days of credentialing approval
• Clean background with no clinical, legal, or pending issues
• Full-time availability required every week of the month
• No more than 10 prior affiliations
• Out-of-state candidates only; provide a copy of an out-of-state driver’s license at presentation
• Willingness to participate in a clinical interview with site leadership
