Family Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens)

Quick Facts

• Role: Family Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; weeknight and weekend call about one week per month (24-hour weekend call with ~4 hours of gratis time)
• Patient volume: ~20 clinic patients per day
• Patient population: Newborns through geriatrics
• Responsibilities: Inpatient and outpatient care, including newborn/post-delivery assessment and pediatric call coverage
• EMR: Epic

Description

Provide comprehensive family medicine care for patients across all age groups in both clinic and hospital settings. You will manage acute and chronic conditions, handle admissions and rounding, assess newborns when on call, and support pediatric/post-delivery coverage. Documentation is completed in Epic.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Provide outpatient primary care and inpatient services
• Assess newborns following delivery when on call
• Participate in pediatric and post-delivery call coverage
• Perform admissions and rounding as needed
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies
• Prescribe medications and coordinate referrals
• Perform circumcisions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Provide patient education and preventive care

Requirements

• MD/DO with Family Medicine training
• Board Certified
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Active Oregon medical license
• BLS and NRP required
• At least 1 year of Epic experience
• Recent documentation/case logs demonstrating family medicine services within the requested scope
• Comfort caring for patients from newborns through geriatrics
