Description

PRN locum coverage for an experienced Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with robotics experience. You will support General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients by providing both surgical first assist in the OR and ongoing inpatient management on the surgical floor.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room / First Assist: patient positioning; hemostasis and bleeding control; wound/vessel cauterization; clamp and suture placement; skin closure with sutures, staples, or adhesives; suction, drainage, and irrigation; patient immobilization; operative support

• Surgical Floor: patient rounding and progress notes; managing orders; discharges; consults; ongoing inpatient management; collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing staff, and other advanced practice providers

Requirements

• NP or PA

• Active New York license in hand

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience

• Robotics experience required

• Epic experience required

• AHA BLS, ACLS & ATLS required (AHA or RQI accepted)

• Board Certification required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Residents/Fellows cannot be accepted
