Description

Provide high-quality adult and geriatric outpatient primary care while working closely with the Practice Lead to manage physician overflow and maintain continuity of care. Responsibilities include chronic disease management, behavioral health concerns, acute women’s health issues, hospital discharge follow-ups, sick visits, and lab result reviews. The practice targets 10–14 patients per day using AthenaHealth EMR with standardized templates and AI scribe support.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care for adult and geriatric outpatients
• Manage routine chronic disease care
• Address behavioral health needs
• Evaluate acute women’s health concerns
• Handle hospital discharge follow-ups, sick visits, and lab result review
• Support clinical workflow with balanced 30-minute appointment slots
• Provide overflow coverage as needed while the Lead Physician manages clinical calls (minimal coverage during physician vacation periods)

Requirements

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
• Active, unrestricted PA license and prescriptive authority in Maryland
• Experience or readiness to train as a motivated new graduate in a supportive, teaching-oriented environment
