Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior/Staff Technical Program Manager (Automation & Scaling)

Description

You will own the systems that enable a faster validation and release cadence for an autonomous fleet. The role focuses on scaling simulation, automating triage and metrics pipelines, and scaling cloud infrastructure (AWS) so releases happen more frequently while upholding a high bar for safety and quality. You will turn research and prototypes into production-grade automation that measurably reduces cycle time.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage simulation at scale by partnering with Simulation, Autonomy, and Mission Assurance teams to expand coverage and reduce reliance on on-road testing.

  • Drive automation by identifying manual, repetitive steps across development, validation, and release, and deploying automation that removes them—prioritizing work that most reduces cycle time.

  • Enable faster triage with AI-assisted systems that parse logs, classify failures, and route issues to actionable fixes.

  • Build scalable infrastructure by scaling AWS-based simulation, metrics, data processing, and release evaluation pipelines.

  • Operationalize existing prototypes by working with technical experts and research teams to convert prototype work into production systems.

  • Drive and measure impact by instrumenting the end-to-end process, finding bottlenecks, and reporting progress against cycle-time goals to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, technical program management, or a combination, with a strong software background.

  • Track record of designing and deploying automation that measurably reduced cycle time (CI/CD, test, data, or triage pipelines).

  • Hands-on familiarity with AWS and large-scale distributed compute and data systems, including simulation workloads.

  • Experience building or applying AI/ML-based tools to analyze logs, detect failures, or automate engineering workflows.

  • Proven ability to take research or prototype work into production and influence technical experts without formal authority.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including translating technical bottlenecks into clear decisions for leadership.

Benefits

  • Help scale software development, validation, and release processes for autonomous fleet improvements with a focus on safety and quality.

  • Hands-on builder role creating production automation and measurable cycle-time improvements.

  • Work cross-functionally with technical experts to operationalize research into scalable systems.
