Description

You will develop, maintain, and modernize Java applications for an international team building distributed systems and modern cloud solutions. The work includes microservices with Java 17, Spring Boot/Cloud, REST APIs, plus service management, observability, and CI/CD automation, with legacy modernization supported by AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support distributed systems in Java

• Design and develop microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot

• Modernize and evolve legacy Java applications with modern and AI-assisted tools

• Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)

• Participate in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Delivery activities

• Design technical solutions and processes using modern Agile methods

• Analyze technical and non-technical requirements and advise stakeholders

• Develop observability tools and techniques for monitoring, alerting, and incident detection/response

• Support capacity management and release safety

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments

• Contribute to application lifecycle management and CI/CD automation

• Collaborate with Product Owners, IT specialists, architects, and IT management

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience developing and supporting distributed systems using Java

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot

• Experience designing and developing microservices

• Good knowledge of modern Java technologies, frameworks, and DevOps tools

• Experience with REST APIs and distributed application architectures

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and solutions across different teams

• Experience working in international and cross-functional environments

• Ability to work independently with a structured, results-oriented approach

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence

• Experience with CI/CD automation and DevOps practices

• Good knowledge of Ansible and vulnerability remediation processes

• EU citizenship and residence in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing legacy Java applications

• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code

• Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting solutions

• Experience with incident and problem management processes

• Knowledge of capacity management and release safety practices

• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems
