Description

Build and evolve a modern, data-driven ecosystem for claims and benefits in the insurance industry, using automation, AI, and workflow processes. You’ll design, implement, and maintain microservices and the APIs/integrations between systems, while ensuring high quality through automated testing and strong engineering practices. You will also apply AI and agentic AI tooling throughout analysis, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop microservices supporting claims reporting and handling processes

• Design, implement, and maintain APIs and system integrations

• Participate in designing system solutions and implementing functional and non-functional requirements

• Improve business processes with efficient, scalable software

• Ensure software quality via automated tests and good engineering practices

• Use AI and agentic AI tools across the software development lifecycle

• Perform and participate in code reviews with modern tools for code quality and security

• Collaborate in Scrum ceremonies within a cross-functional agile team

• Co-create development standards and the use of AI in software delivery

Requirements

• Strong Java knowledge with 5+ years of experience

• Strong Apache Kafka knowledge with 3+ years of experience

• Strong Spring/Hibernate, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud knowledge with 5+ years of experience

• Strong SQL knowledge with 5+ years of experience

• Knowledge of software quality assurance, including unit test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Spock) and integration tests (Testcontainers, WireMock)

• Knowledge of Functional Programming and Object-Oriented Programming paradigms

• Knowledge of application containerization

• Knowledge of process engines and BPMN

• Knowledge of resilience patterns/mechanisms for distributed systems

• Angular framework knowledge and experience creating frontend applications

• Ability to adopt AI tools in the software development process

• Knowledge of performance diagnostics tools for implemented solutions
