Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a team developing a modern microservices platform for reporting and processing insurance claims. You will design, implement, and maintain APIs and integrations, help deliver functional and non-functional requirements, and improve the performance and reliability of the solutions. The development process leverages AI and agentic AI during requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build microservices supporting claims reporting and handling processes.
• Design, implement, and maintain APIs and integrations between systems.
• Participate in designing system solutions and implementing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create scalable and resilient solutions to support optimization of business processes.
• Improve software quality through automated tests, engineering best practices, and attention to code quality.
• Use AI and agentic AI in software development (requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and maintenance).
• Participate in code reviews and use modern tools supporting code quality and security.
• Participate in Scrum events and collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary agile team.
• Co-create software development standards and AI usage rules for the development process.
• Diagnose and optimize performance and reliability of the developed solutions.
• Share knowledge and collaborate on systems at large scale with high transaction volumes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working with Java.
• At least 3 years of experience with Apache Kafka.
• At least 5 years of experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate.
• At least 5 years of experience working with SQL.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance practices/tools, including: unit testing (JUnit, TestNG, Spock) and integration testing (Testcontainers, WireMock).
• Knowledge of OOP and Functional Programming paradigms.
• Knowledge of application containerization.
• Knowledge of process engines and BPMN notation.
• Knowledge of resilience patterns/mechanisms for services in distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Angular and experience building frontend applications.
• Practical ability to use AI tools in the software development process.
• Knowledge of tools for diagnosing and analyzing application performance.
• Ability to provide services from Poland.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (at least 1 day per week in the office).
