Description

Senior/Lead Full Stack Java Developer to support development and modernization of key projects for European institutions. Design and build scalable full-stack applications using Java and Angular, create secure backend services and modern web applications, and integrate distributed systems via APIs. Implement database-driven functionality with performance optimization and deploy solutions in cloud environments using CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable full-stack applications using Java and Angular

• Build and maintain backend services and modern web applications

• Design and implement secure APIs and integrations between distributed systems

• Implement database-backed features and optimize application performance

• Ensure code quality, security, testability, and performance

• Deploy applications in cloud environments with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Develop multilingual applications and reusable Angular libraries

• Analyze and solve complex technical problems

• Create technical documentation and collaborate with international business and technical teams

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent (EQF Level 7)

• 15+ years of IT and software development experience

• 15+ years practical experience with: Java, SQL, Spring Boot, Hibernate, database design, query and performance optimization, PostgreSQL or Oracle or MongoDB

• 10+ years experience with Git (GitFlow or trunk-based development)

• Knowledge of SVN

• 5+ years experience with: Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

• 4+ years experience with Apache Kafka and distributed systems integration

• 2+ years experience with systems handling grants/public funds at scale

• 2+ years experience with PM2-Agile methodology

• Experience building multilingual applications supporting 10+ language versions

• Experience building Angular component libraries (e.g., eUI)

• Very good knowledge of: REST API, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS or Azure

• English C1+
