Description

Develop and maintain secure, scalable applications supporting processes such as applications, offers, grants, audits, and funding management. Build backend and frontend components, implement business logic, develop and secure REST APIs, integrate with databases, and deploy/maintain solutions in cloud environments. Work includes testing, production debugging, monitoring, CI/CD, and technical collaboration (code reviews, mentoring, QA coordination).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications for backend and frontend

• Implement business logic, UI components, APIs, and database integrations

• Design and secure REST APIs and web services

• Apply security best practices (authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring)

• Write unit and integration tests; debug and resolve production issues

• Deploy using cloud, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Monitor performance and stability in test environments

• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and technical support

• Collaborate with QA on requirements clarification and effort estimation

• Ensure code quality and technical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional IT experience

• Degree equivalent to EQF level 6 (e.g., bachelor’s)

• Very good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST API development

• Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB (schema design, query optimization)

• Knowledge of WebLogic, JEE, and EJB

• Experience with AWS or Azure and cloud deployments

• Practical knowledge of securing REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT

• Experience with at least one frontend framework: Angular, React, or Vue (Bootstrap a plus)

• Experience with CI/CD tools and build tools (e.g., Maven; GitLab, Bamboo, Jenkins, Nexus)

• Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and collaboration/documentation tools

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Knowledge of SOA and service-bus-based architectures

• Experience with Agile/Scrum

• Knowledge of JUnit and Mockito; code quality/security tools (e.g., SonarQube, SonarLint, HP Fortify)

• Technical communication and teamwork

• English or French at least B2
