Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend solutions for a microservices-based business banking mobile platform. The work includes developing new features, integrating modern technologies, optimizing database performance, and supporting the migration from a legacy banking platform to the new solution. Responsibilities also cover observability, deployments/infrastructure tasks, and architecture work from scratch.

• Optimize database performance and queries

• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting

• Handle deployments and infrastructure management

• Conduct code reviews, mentor teammates, and design architecture

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience

• Strong Kotlin and Java skills (Kotlin data classes/sealed classes/extension & scope functions; Coroutines & Flow; Java Collections/Generics/Stream API)

• Deep understanding of multithreading and JVM internals (GC, memory model, performance tuning)

• Extensive Spring Framework experience including Spring Boot, Dependency Injection/IoC, Spring Data (R2DBC and JPA), transaction management, and Spring AOP

• Advanced PostgreSQL/SQL expertise including query optimization (EXPLAIN ANALYZE), indexing, complex queries, window functions, and CTEs

• Production experience with Kafka (producers/consumers, partitions, offsets)

• Strong REST API design experience (versioning, pagination, error handling)

• Practical Docker experience and advanced Git workflows (rebase, cherry-pick, conflict resolution)

• Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Micrometer, including structured logging, correlation IDs, and alerting best practices

• Strong microservices architecture knowledge (patterns, anti-patterns, HA, fault tolerance, scalability)

• Good software design knowledge (SOLID, GoF patterns, DDD basics)

• Testing experience including unit/integration tests with JUnit/Kotest, MockK, and Testcontainers

• English Intermediate+ or higher
