Description

Design and oversee solution architecture for Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Customer Insights, Contact Center) and Power Platform components, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable. Translate business and non-functional requirements into integration, data, security, environment, ALM, and operations models, and provide technical leadership to implementation teams. Includes enterprise-grade AI and agent architecture, from data/context grounding to orchestration, evaluation, and content safety.

Responsibilities

• Design and supervise architecture for Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio (depending on project scope)

• Define architectural standards, produce architecture diagrams, and design integration/data flows, security model, environment structure, ALM strategy, and support/maintenance model

• Perform fit-to-standard analyses, classify requirements by implementation approach, and document decisions, risks, and alternatives

• Design AI/agent solutions architecture including grounding, identity/permissions, process orchestration, quality evaluation, content safety, human oversight, and monitoring

• Select integration patterns and technologies (e.g., Dataverse, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps, API Management, Virtual Tables, Microsoft Fabric) considering latency, data volume, performance, and resilience

• Define and oversee non-functional requirements: availability, performance, scalability, capacity management, privacy, digital accessibility, disaster recovery, and cost optimization

• Document architectural decisions; verify the rationale and quality of custom code; manage solution layers, technical debt, and platform version release process

• Provide technical leadership across the lifecycle: workshops and analysis, estimation and delivery oversight, production go-live, and stabilization

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering IT projects for large organizations, including hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform experience

• Experience designing Dataverse-based solutions across multiple environments, Managed Solutions, automated ALM processes, and enterprise security using Microsoft Entra ID and Dataverse access control

• Very good knowledge of Power Platform extension and integration capabilities, including Custom APIs, PCF components, system integrations, data migration, testing, monitoring, and maintenance/support

• Practical knowledge of Copilot Studio and principles of responsible AI usage (governance, oversight, evaluation)

• Ability to make and justify architecture decisions using measurable criteria (data volume, latency, data location/residency, licensing model, maintenance accountability, and total cost of change)

• Experience presenting and defending architectural decisions to Architecture/Governance boards, plus mentoring and substantive support for delivery teams
