Description

Lead the architectural vision during a 3-month Discovery & Design phase for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation. Focus areas include Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Field Service, and Power Platform solutions. Define a scalable target-state architecture, guide PoCs, and produce key architectural deliverables and integration designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural workshops with customer SMEs to understand existing systems, business processes, constraints, data flows, and integration points
• Define target solution architecture for Dynamics 365 Project Operations and Field Service, including conceptual data models and module boundaries
• Evaluate out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 capabilities and identify standardization opportunities
• Guide Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate functionalities, technical feasibility, and architectural assumptions
• Create high-level integration designs and architecture diagrams connecting Dynamics 365 with legacy and enterprise systems
• Partner with functional consultants to ensure designs are technically feasible and aligned with Dynamics 365 capabilities
• Contribute to the Discovery backlog by defining epics, features, dependencies, and technical considerations
• Identify architectural risks, technical dependencies, and prerequisites for implementation
• Produce Discovery deliverables such as solution outlines, conceptual architecture diagrams, data flow documentation, PoC results, and readiness assessments

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution architecture, particularly Dynamics 365 Project Operations and/or Field Service
• Proven experience designing conceptual solution architectures during Discovery, assessment, or pre-implementation phases
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, including data structures, entity modelling, and cross-module relationships
• Familiarity with Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages)
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and Azure Integration Services
• Ability to create high-level architecture diagrams, model business processes, and document technical solutions
• Experience facilitating technical and functional workshops with SMEs and senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• Success by Design methodology familiarity
• Experience in field-intensive industries (e.g., energy, manufacturing, industrial services)
• Knowledge of data migration strategies (consolidation, cleansing, archival planning)
• Experience preparing architecture documentation supporting Statements of Work (SoW)
