Description

Develop and operate next-generation services that support getting Surface and Xbox devices from the factory floor through global transit networks to customer delivery. Drive high-quality coding, reliability, architecture/design leadership, and safe, compliant deployments using CI/CD and automation. Partner cross-functionally to improve system health and continuously enhance end-to-end outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and maintain high coding quality through strong reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Use telemetry, debugging, and root cause analysis to proactively prevent issues and drive incident resolution as the DRI.
• Own or influence complex system design and architecture, balancing performance, scalability, cost, and trade-offs.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance standards are met while driving CI/CD and safe, efficient deployments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end solutions and incorporate customer insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, and/or Python (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Benefits

• Base pay range (U.S.): USD $119,800–$234,700 per year (different ranges apply for specific locations).
