Description

Coordinate and manage IT networking for schools, including planning and project leadership for active network components and lifecycle management of hardware and software. Work with an external IT service provider to coordinate the operation of LAN and WLAN networks, develop technical standards, and optimize processes. Advise responsible personnel at the schools on the relevant IT network and service topics.

Requirements

• Completed degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science, a technical IT program, or equivalent qualification
• Very good knowledge of networking technologies (LAN/MAN/WAN), WLAN/WiFi, VoIP, TCP/IP, QoS, and security components
• Good knowledge of implementing and administering Cisco solutions (ideally Cisco certifications such as CCNA)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; very good written and verbal communication
• Empathetic and subject-matter understanding approach to school-specific IT problems with solution-oriented action
• Knowledge of IT security standards (e.g., BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO 27000), data protection (DSGVO), and ITIL certification in IT service management
• Valid Class B driver’s license
• Openness to new technologies and willingness to quickly learn diverse topics
