• Role: IT Administrator for Radio and Networks (full-time; job sharing possible)

Description

You will manage the transition to digital radio communications, expand microwave radio links and LoRaWAN, and coordinate the readiness and deployment of radio systems and networks for major events and civil protection. You will also support operations of a highly available IT infrastructure to keep digital tools and services available for the city administration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the switch to digital radio, plus expansion of the microwave radio network and LoRaWAN
• Coordinate deployment of radio systems and radio networks for large events and ensure they are operational for civil protection
• Support operation of high-availability IT infrastructure for uninterrupted access to city administration digital services

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as IT Specialist for System Integration, IT System Electronics Technician, or a comparable qualification
• Radio communications training (radio operator/digital radio specialist) is desirable
• Experience with radio technologies is advantageous
• Valid driving license (Class B)
• Willingness to work outside regular working hours
