Description

Provide practical nursing care to patients in an outpatient clinic, including initiating and maintaining medical histories, preparing and delivering oral, topical, and injectable medications, and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions. Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, physical examinations, and treatments. Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.

Requirements

• Current practical or vocational nursing license in a U.S. state/territory/DC (or must have applied and obtain licensure during the probationary period)

• One year of nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical/nursing/patient care facility

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• Completion of required background/suitability and fitness determinations (Personnel Security Investigation)

• Consent to random drug testing (urinalysis) for a testing-designated position

• Immunization requirements, including Hepatitis B for positions with direct patient contact

• Ability to fulfill non-privileged professional credential requirements

• Seasonal influenza vaccination consent or approved exemption

• Additional background investigation/periodic re-verification as required due to recurring interaction with children and youth under 18

• U.S. citizenship; proof of citizenship (and Selective Service pre-employment certification if applicable)
