Description

Provide practical nursing care in an outpatient clinic, including comprehensive patient care and monitoring. You will record vital signs, maintain patient medical histories and observations, order/track labs and radiology, administer prescribed medications, and provide condition-specific education to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document vital signs

• Initiate and maintain patient medical histories and observations for clinician use

• Identify symptoms and document findings

• Administer prescribed medications (verify dose, route, and time)

• Order and track laboratory and radiology orders/results

• Provide patient and family education aligned to conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals

Requirements

• Current practical or vocational nursing license (or applied for a license)

• One year of qualifying nursing experience in a hospital/outpatient clinic/nursing home or supervised patient-care facility

• U.S. citizenship

• Background investigation/security screening with ongoing re-verification due to recurring interaction with children/youth

• BLS certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• Consent to random drug testing (urinalysis)

• Pre-placement medical examination

• Immunization screening; Hepatitis B required for direct patient contact

• Ability to work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to fulfill non-privileged professional credential requirements
