Description

Serve as a functional point of contact for daily budget and financial issues, providing support for budget formulation, execution, and administration. You will review and prepare budget estimates and financial plans, monitor obligations and actual expenditures, and deliver advice and analyses on budget and related information. Work includes using automated budget systems and producing computer-generated budget products.

Responsibilities

• Act as the day-to-day point of contact for budget and financial issues
• Perform budget formulation (review and prepare estimates and financial plans)
• Support budget execution and administration (monitor obligations and expenditures)
• Provide guidance and conduct analyses/reviews/special studies related to budgets and funding
• Use automated budgeting systems and computer-generated products for budgeting assignments

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Safeguard classified or sensitive budget-related information and files
• Financial Management Level 1 certified position (per applicable Title 10 U.S.C. requirements)
• Meet OPM specialized experience/education criteria for the grade (e.g., 1 year specialized experience at GS-07 level, or a qualifying master’s/graduate degree, or combination)
• Submit transcripts if using education to qualify
