Description

Manage and report on the status and progress of assigned software testing assignments, ensuring priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality requirements are met. Research and apply qualitative and quantitative methods to improve test team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products. Develop automated test scripts and provide performance testing considerations and expected impacts on functionality for change requests.

Responsibilities

• Report status and progress of software testing assignments against supervisor instructions
• Use qualitative and quantitative methods to identify and improve test team effectiveness and efficiency
• Develop automated test scripts for routine functional and performance testing scenarios
• Analyze performance testing considerations and expected performance impacts for related change requests or modifications

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
• Specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 for one year (52 full weeks) for GS-12
• Experience writing and testing software using industry languages, methodologies, techniques, and procedures
• Experience using queries and automated scripts to analyze data, document findings, and identify system issues
• Experience supporting debt collection, financial management, accounts receivable, or similar transaction-based systems; develop test scenarios and assess impacts on existing functionality
• Successfully complete a background investigation (periodic reinvestigation required)
• Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment
• Use direct deposit/electronic funds transfer
• Selective Service certification (if applicable)
• Complete a PIV process (two forms of ID for Form I-9)
• Obtain and use a government-issued charge card for business travel
