Description

Design, build, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure for IC OIG systems, including case management software and other mission-critical applications hosted in cloud environments. Implement cloud security controls (IAM, encryption, logging/monitoring, and compliance automation), support ATO maintenance and continuous monitoring, and evaluate emerging technologies like containers and serverless architectures. Lead modernization efforts, coordinate technical initiatives across stakeholders, and optimize cloud performance and costs.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for IC OIG systems

• Implement cloud security controls: IAM, encryption at rest/in transit, logging, monitoring, compliance automation

• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) maintenance: security control validation, documentation updates, continuous monitoring

• Evaluate cloud services and emerging technology approaches (containerization platforms, serverless, and other innovations)

• Modernize IT workflows by integrating datasets to reduce manual reporting and recurring data calls

• Develop multi-year technology roadmaps for infrastructure modernization and platform evolution

• Coordinate cross-functional cloud initiatives across IC OIG stakeholders

• Work with vendors/contractors/internal teams on reliability, incident response, and disaster recovery

• Lead integration efforts for interoperability among cloud capabilities from different providers

• Monitor performance and costs; optimize resource utilization and apply cost management best practices

• Support the selection, implementation, and production support of development/operations tools and platforms

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and residence in the United States

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

• Typically 10 years of related experience (IT experience via paid/unpaid or intensive training acceptable)

• Degree in CS, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management, or a qualifying degree with at least 24 semester hours in those fields

• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure

• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, application hosting)

• Security-minded architecture decision-making with balance of security, operational efficiency, and mission needs

• Strong cloud security foundation: IAM, encryption, network security, vulnerability management, compliance frameworks

• Ability to build/implement information systems security plans and procedures aligned with IC/federal requirements

• Ability to develop multi-year strategic technology plans and translate objectives into milestones

• Experience coordinating technical programs across multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities and technical risks

• Ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences and produce clear technical documentation (diagrams, reports)

• Ability to evaluate technology trends and recommend emerging technology adoption
