Description

Own reliability, availability, and performance for customer-facing applications and cloud infrastructure. Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, observability, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable, repeatable, low-risk releases. Lead incident response and root cause analysis while driving continuous operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure environments
• Build and support Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for scalable and repeatable deployments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support efficient and low-risk software releases
• Lead incident response efforts, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Create and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and post-incident reviews
• Support production escalations and deploy fixes with minimal business disruption
• Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Partner with development and product teams to embed reliability, security, and scalability into new solutions
• Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve system efficiency
• Participate in on-call support rotations and respond to critical production events
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and operational maturity

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Production Support
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted, customer-facing applications
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, ECS, S3, SQS)
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins or similar automation tools
• Monitoring, observability, and alerting experience (e.g., Datadog)
• Automation and scripting with Python and Bash (or similar scripting languages)
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Experience supporting Oracle, MySQL, and/or SQL Server
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and incident management skills; able to stay calm during incidents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Agile teams
