Role Description

Responsible for the care, maintenance, and functioning of equipment and supplies used by the Department. Assists anesthesiologists in the provision of direct patient care as requested and supports nursing staff through the provision, maintenance, and functioning of medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of departmental equipment and supplies

• Assist anesthesiologists with direct patient care as requested

• Support nursing staff by providing and maintaining medical equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience

• Minimum of 2 years of college coursework

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar healthcare or clinical environment

• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application

• Knowledge of anesthesia-related equipment care and maintenance

• Knowledge of surgical equipment care and maintenance

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills

• Basic computer proficiency

• Ability to demonstrate effective inventory control practices
