Description

Assist in providing physical therapy treatments and performing procedures in a home health environment. Within state law and regulations, support treatment plan development, document treatment progress, and modify specific treatments within the supervising physical therapist’s plan of care. Follow all local/state/federal regulations to protect patient privacy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering physical therapy treatments and procedures

• Support development of treatment plans within scope of practice

• Document patient progress and modify specific treatments as allowed

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and policies

• Serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students (when assigned)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program

• Licensure: PTA-Registered Physical Therapist Assistant

• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider

• Department-specific: Valid driver’s license

• Experience: 1 year of recent relevant experience
